Doyle has been an amazing volunteer at Newby-ginnings for just over a year. He was referred to Newby-ginnings by a very excited lady who had donated to us previously.

After checking it out he decided to generously donate his time and smile to the mission. Doyle likes to give back to the military families and enjoys the very easy atmosphere and great hours of Newby-ginnings. He says the vision and well directed management along with the wonderful volunteer’s “family” are also things he likes about being part of the mission. He can mostly be found in the warehouse smiling and lending a hand.

Doyle graduated high-school a few years ago in 1967 and was in the Naval Air Reserves from 1968-74. He then moved onto continuing to serve and give back by being a firefighter and paramedic from 1977-2006. Doyle has been blessed with 3 sons and 5 granddaughters.

Some of his hobbies include collecting old Winchesters, reloading, and shooting. He likes to be outdoors attempting to wrangle animals with bullets and hooks by fishing and hunting. Is known to occasionally tip his toe in the water from his boat, and he loves to travel.

• Has been endured by his loving wife Sharon for 18 years!

• Was the personal paramedic for President George H.W. Bush! (for 3 days)

• Is an apple aficionado.

• Will answer to most names that begin with D.

• Is a man of many words…
