Wow, I can't say enough good things about this place. I've been going thru a rough time. I ended up homeless and sleeping in my vehicle. I found a ghetto; cheap apartment and they are helping me get set up. Not only did they give me some of the essential items for living for free, but they also delivered it (Thank you Cedrick). Thank you to everyone that works there and thanks to those who donate to help us Vets!!!

I don't know how this works I have no idea all I know is I went through the VA program for homelessness, and I was amazed at how organized Newby-ginnings was. I found some very special things there that I probably couldn't even been able to buy, and I am so grateful that people are that generous to have that kind of resource in northern Idaho for the homeless.

This non-profit business is an awesome resource for active military, veterans, and Gold Star families! They, and other volunteers, take donated items and give them to this special class of people. No questions asked, just come with proof of service, such as an ID card or DD-214. All items are free. Take what you can carry, or they offer free delivery for larger items, like furniture. This business was started by Gold Star parents, who lost their son SPC Nicholas Newby, in Iraq in 2011, thus the business name is based on his last name, in honor of him. What an inspirational way to turn their loss into a gain for veterans in need! They helped us, and this review is the least I can do to show our gratitude. It takes very special people to do what they do!

A few weeks ago, I was online looking for a place that my daughters and I could donate some items. All of a sudden, Newby-ginnings came up. I was impressed that all donations were free to our service men and women. My grandson and I drove the items over to donate. Everyone there was so nice. Friendly. And very appreciative. I am so happy to find a place that actually helps others in need without charging them! God Bless all of you who donate your time there. And God Bless all of our veterans.
